Currently the Salamanca Rail Museum, this building was built by the Buffalo, Rochester and Pittsburgh Railway (BR&P) in 1912. From 1928 onward the station was bought operated by the Baltimore & Ohio railway (B&O).
The station operated until 1956 when it was closed to passenger service. In 1980 the station was reopened as the Salamanca Rail Museum.
The museum is free to the public and features several railcars and cabooses on display nearby.
The dated plaque is located above the main entrance.
