Jeremy Copeland - Connellsville, Pennsylvania
This bench was placed as part of a installation of 17 benches in and around the Jewel of the Yough River Trail Council's property at the Stewart's Crossing Trailhead. 4 benches were placed 1/2 mile north of Stewart's Crossing, a handful were placed at the camping area and the remainder will be placed at Yough River Park. Furthermore, the backs of the benches are able to be swiveled in direction to change the occupant's view to whatever they desire to view at the moment of resting.
This bench memorializes an individual, who passed away in 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. He worked as a gas well tender with Atlas America Inc. Jeremy was a member of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church in Scottdale. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and Pittsburgh Penguins. He enjoyed hunting and camping at his cabin. Most of all, Jeremy enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his daughters in their dance recitals.
The bench was given in love by his Nadene Mastowski Copeland; his two daughters, Rilynn Dean Copeland, age 10, and Alexis Bree Copeland, age 8.
