"The Adenau station was officially on July 15, 1888 completion of the final section of the route Remagen - opened Adenau.
By declaring the line commissioned Dümpelfeld - Lissendorf on July 1, 1912, underwent significant increase in traffic and the Adenau station. However, what decisively contributed to the volume of traffic at Adenau station, was the construction of the Nürburgring. This went so far that a new station had to be built."
