Büste der Rosa Luxemburg:
Die Büste steht auf einem Sockel in der Gustav-Freytag-Straße vor der Hochschule für Telekommunikation Leipzig (HfTL). Auf dem Sockel ist der Name Rosa Luxemburg eingraviert. Die Büste wurde zum 100. Geburtstag von Rosa Luxemburg am 05.03.1971 vom Bildhauer Hans Eickworth gestaltet und vor der Hochschule aufgestellt, welche damals noch den Namen "Ingenieurschule für Post und Fernmeldewesen „Rosa Luxemburg“" trug.
Die Büste ist überlebengroß und aus Kupfer geschaffen, welches mittlerweile stark oxidiert ist.

Rosa Luxemburg (* 03.05.1871 in Poland / † 01.15.1919 in Berlin) was an influential representative of the European labor movement, the Marxist, the anti-militarism, the "proletarian internationalism", a leading left Social Democrat and co-founder of the KPD.
bust of Rosa Luxemburg:
The bust stands on a pedestal in the Gustav-Freytag-Straße infront of the Hochschule für Telekommunikation Leipzig (HfTL). On the pedestal the name Rosa Luxembourg is engraved. The bust was designed for the 100th birthday of Rosa Luxemburg on 05.03.1971 by the sculptor Hans Eickworth and placed in front of the university. At that time the university had the name "Ingenieurschule für Post und Fernmeldewesen „Rosa Luxemburg“".
The bust is made larger than life and made of copper, which is now heavily oxidized.
