The Town:
Wenslingen is a municipality in the district Sissach in the canton of Basel-Country with about 730 inhabitants.
Wenslingen was first documented in 1280. In 1372, it came to the Bailiwick Farnsburg and in the possession of the city of Basel in 1461. In 1814, it changed to the district Sissach.
The Town Hall:
The town hall of Wenslingen is located in a one-story building on the main street in the village center. From the roadside it looks like a new building, but on the side walls you can see that far older building parts are also present. It is attached directly to the fire station, which is about twice as large.

Wenslingen ist eine Gemeinde im Bezirk Sissach im Kanton Basel-Landschaft mit etwa 730 Einwohnern.
Wenslingen wurde 1280 erstmals urkundlich erwähnt. 1372 kam es zur Vogtei Farnsburg und gelangte 1461 in den Besitz der Stadt Basel. 1814 wurde es Teil des Bezirks Sissach.
Das Gemeindehaus:
Das Gemeindehaus von Wenslingen befindet sich in einem einstöckigen Gebäude an der Hauptstrasse im Zentrum des Dorfes. Von der Strassenseite wirkt es wie ein Neubau, an den Seitenfassaden ist aber weit ältere Bausubstanz zu erkennen. Es ist direkt an das Feuerwehrmagazin angebaut, das rund doppelt so gross ist.
