"The statue represents Gottlieb Konrad Pfeffel, Alsatian poet and educator. It was built in 1927 by Charles Geiss, a copy of the original work of André Friederich for Unterlinden museum.
This is actually a copy of the work of André Friederich which was conducted in 1859 for the museum Unterlinden (now kept at the school Pfeffel Colmar) .
Another copied metal had been requisitioned by the German army to melt the benefit of the artillery."
