The seal is a figurative representation of one of the major animals that can be viewed up and down the California Coast. Frogs are seldom seen here. The statue is near the center of the park, at the base is a dedication plaque. The plaque says, "Dreaming of the Kiss. Donated to the City of Torrance in memory of Sandi Walker, who spent her life giving to others. 1942 - 2006".
