A replica of the coveted Aggie class ring that weighs more than three tons and stands more than 12-feet tall has been erected on the Texas A&M campus.

It will be unveiled Friday as part of ceremonies for eligible students to pick up their class rings.

The sculpture has been erected at Haynes Ring Plaza outside the Clayton Williams Alumni Center.

The Aggie ring, according to the Association of Former Students, is available for purchase by students in compliance with A&M rules recognizing senior status.
