Fort Queenscliff is both home to a unit of the Australian Regular Army and a meticulously maintained historic site.
On the hour and a half guided tour the original command post, signal station, guardroom, cell block, barracks, magazines and the black lighthouse are visited, there is also a military museum that has a restored range of weapons, clothing and other items relating to the history of the fort
Opening hours: Guided tours only at 1300 and 1500 weekends and school holidays
