According to her website "Dodson has worked in a series using an elephant headed goddess to explore female figureheads in positions of power".
Elephant Oracle is one of her large scale pieces. The stylized elephant is 6' tall and carved from stone. The trunk, tusks and ears are clearly that of an elephant. The body is represented by a 2' square rectangle that tapers as it rises from the ground. The legs are represented by a single appendage on the left and right sides which starts at the shoulder and goes half way down the body.
