RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1987 RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION, A NEW DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS. 10.1 KM (6.30 MI) NORTHERLY ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 101 FROM ITS JUNCTION WITH U.S. HIGHWAY 20 IN NEWPORT, THENCE 0.1 KM (0.05 MI) EAST ALONG A PAVED ROAD, THENCE 0.8 KM (0.50 MI) SOUTHEASTERLY ALONG A PAVED ROAD (OLD U.S. HIGHWAY 101), 28.9 M (94.8 FT) SOUTHEAST OF THE CENTER OF A DRIVEWAY, 9.2 M (30.2 FT) NORTHEAST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE ROAD, AND 5.4 M (17.7 FT) NORTH OF UTILITY POLE NUMBER CO8B14. THE MARK IS 0.3 METERS S FROM A WITNESS POST THE MARK IS ABOVE LEVEL WITH THE ROAD.
