A set of Secret Caverns murals are places along the roadside in central New York in an attempt to lure tourist to this attraction. Each billboard is in its own way a work of art. They are the creations of billboard artists Todd DelMarter, Kurt Piller, and Secret Caverns owner R.J. "Caveman" Mallery.
This relatively uncomplicated billboard by Secret Cavern standards was originally created by Kurt Piller and repainted by Todd DelMarter. It consists of three parts. On the left is a parody of Leonardo Da Vinci's Vitruvian Man. It replaces the head with the Secret Cavern's ecotourism icon the leafy-faced Green Man who is wearing yellow and red polka dot shorts. The middle section is a painting of a parchment scroll with the inscription: Nature's Work of Art in Gothic font. The right section depicts the signature feature of Secret Caverns - the 100 ft underground waterfall. To the right of the billboard is an arrow with the message: STAY LEFT - BEST FAMILY VALUE. According to the artist if you look carefully you can see numerous "subliminal images" on the central scroll.
