The Huddersfield Broad Canal
The Huddersfield Broad Canal was completed in 1780. It runs between the Calder and Hebble Navigation at Cooper Bridge and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal in the centre of Huddersfield.
The viaduct used to carry a railway line over the bridge, and the cut mark is on a drystone wall near the bridge.
The cut mark is in excellent condition and is on the 2nd stone up from the floor next to a metal gate. The following details were obtained from the
