The Huddersfield Broad Canal
The Huddersfield Broad Canal was completed in 1780. It runs between the Calder and Hebble Navigation at Cooper Bridge and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal in the centre of Huddersfield.
This part of the canal is near to Huddersfield, and the canal in its heyday attracted much industry. This chimney is no longer used but still stands as a reminder of the industrial past.
Although the site is private the chimney is very close to the canal towpath and very visible from there.
