"For the museum project, the group’s members have been busy renovating a former neighborhood bar. The interior has been completely redone, and decks with handicapped-accessible ramps have been built at the entrances.
The building itself was donated by Bob and Mary Edger of Elmira...When finished, the museum will display a wide array of artifacts from the Vietnam War, such as weapons and ammunition, uniforms and equipment, photographs, and models of military aircraft and vehicles. Sandbags filled with Styrofoam will be used as props, replicating bunkers, and a uniformed mannequin will greet visitors...
There will be Internet access and a television for watching movies. In the back, there will be a library of Vietnam-related books and other materials. Elmira College students taking a class on Vietnam are likely to visit the museum, Watson said. He has been a guest speaker in the college’s Vietnam course in the past...
Once open, the museum will be staffed by volunteers during designated hours. It will be open to the public free of charge, but donations will be accepted."

The mailbox will be outside the museum on Davis Street and used as a dropbox for people for leave American flags on flag day. "This is a flag drop here, that will take all of the American flags that are used of that people have taken down from their homes. And properly be disposed of by placing them in here, and then we will take care of them on Flag Day, June 14th," said Wolfe."
