About town
The history of the town dates back to the 13th century. In 1420 the Hussites won in one of the first battles. After the Thirty Years' War the town and its surroundings declined. The development started after the foundation of the Czechoslovak Republic (1918).

About tower
The tower had a many functions - except that it served as a watchtower was on the ground floor warehouse of salt, above the room served as the town hall and jail. Gothic bell tower was reconstructed into the present appearance at the beginning of the 20th century.

Mesto Mladá Vožice a Mladovožicko vubec bylo až do roku 1945 zcela zemedelskou oblastí. Teprve po osvobození nastala premena celé oblasti v prumyslove zemedelskou.
