There is a mailbox at the cemetery gate, with a few things related to the cemetery, as well as a logbook and a small history book, compiled from notes. The history book mentions that the church began in the late 1800s, with services held in the Sadler Bend schoolhouse. The Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church was organized on July 8, 1900, with Brother C.W. Hampton as the first pastor. The church moved away from Sadler Bend to the church here on March 16, 1907, and they replaced that church building with a new one on August 14, 1948. The church disbanded in 1994, with the last pastor being Brother M.A. Thetford, who is buried just inside the gate. The church building was sold and moved, with only a sign indicating its presence today.
