Der große Bolzen ist in ca. 70 cm Höhe links vom Haupteingang des Neuen Rathauses angebracht. Auf dem Bolzen sind die Worte "Deutsches Reich Höhenmarke" zu erkennen.
Im Zentrum dieser historischen Höhenmarken befindet sich für gewöhnlich noch ein Reichsadler mit Hakenkreuz. Diese Symbole sind möglicherweise im Zuge der Entnazifizierung entfernt wurden. Berichte dazu gibt es von entsprechenden Höhenmarken aus anderen Städten. (siehe: (

The bolt is installed in approximately 70 cm height at the left side of the main entrance of the 'New Town Hall'. On the bolt the words "Deutsches Reich Höhenmarke" are visible.
In the center of this type of historical benchmarks the eagle with swastika are usually visible. These symbols may had been removed in the course of denazification. There are corresponding reports of such benchmarks in other cities. (see: (
