After driving down the highway a couple of times, we were just about ready to give up when we decided to stop at a local farmhouse for directions. Sure enough, they directed us to an entrance just west of their house. The entrance is on the north side of Highway 20, just west of South 427 Road. You enter on a dirt lane and drive north and then to the east through the grass and weeds and sure enough, there is a cemetery back in these woods.

The Anderson-Vann Cemetery, also known as the Daniel Webster Vann Family Cemetery is not really maintained although at the time of year we arrived, it was easy enough to walk through. This is a very old cemetery, with the earliest burial in 1879. Of the 70 graves here, half of them were before 1900. The latest burial was in 2003.

Many of the older burials pre-1900 are in the Vann Family, totaling 13. The Andersons, with 9 grave sites are dated post 1900.
