The historic Mineola Historical Museum in Mineola, Texas was constructed as the community’s post office during the Great Depression. The building was constructed in 1938 with federal Treasury Department funds.

Cornerstone say 1936 on it. It served the Mineola Community until 1998 when the post office built a new building on East Broad Street. Today, it is the home of the Mineola Historical Museum. The post office building has been named a Recorded Texas Historical Landmark and is a contributing building in the Mineola Downtown Historic District as listed in the National Register of Historic Properties.
