From Hincee House Website:

Hinchee House has been described as Queen Anne, with Neo-Italianate and Roman accents. Mauer and the Hinchees chose a symphony of mixed golds and greens for the outside of the house to emphasize the green roof and the greens, lavenders, and golds in the over fifteen stained glass windows.

Carrie painted mural of cupids on the ceiling of the dining room. Caroline also painted ethereal and whimsical Raphaelite and angelic themed paintings that were impressively displayed throughout the mansion. The house has a large music conservatory with a pipe organ, several parlors for entertaining, an elevator, a call system to the kitchen and servants’ quarters, one of the largest verandas of any home in Texas, a dramatic entry hall, a dining room with a stunning adjoining solarium of stained glass and a theatrical spiral staircase.
