The Lang-Hastings Trail stretches just under 66 km from Lang, ON to Hastings, ON along the former Canadian National Railways track bed.
This particular trail, completed in 2012, connects Assumption with Hastings, and stretches 33 km. It is also one one of the newest sections of the Trans Canada Trail to be completed. Once finished, the TCT will stretch over 24,000 km from coast to coast to coast.
The trail is multi-use, with hiking/walking/biking in warmer months, and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling in the winter months. Of note is that geocaching is noted and encouraged as an activity as well!
There are several road and trail access points along this stretch. This particular access point is from Cty Rd 35 (Keene Road).
