The Trent-Severn Waterway travels 386 km from Georgian Bay to Lake Ontario. The system was built in stages between 1833 and 1920. The Campbellford section was built between 1907 and 1919.

Vessels can traverse the length of the waterway by navigating a series of canals, locks and open river.

This site marker is located on the shore of the Trent River in Campbellford. Access is from Highway 30 and Main Street.

Campbellford lies between Lock 13 and Locks 12/11 on the waterway system. There are a total of 45 locks on the waterway.
