The building predates the earliest reference found, a map of Ipswich surveyed in 1842 (see gallery [Source - (
visit link) ])
Very litle else seems to exist regarding the history of the church. There is information that the former Ipswich Presbyterian Church was designed by the Ipswich architect Frederick Barnes in 1870 (
visit link) , although the map data seems to contradict that as the OS map of 1842 shows a church at this site. Possibly a rebuild on an earlier building.
