EN: The border adjustment station was up to its closure in 1996 the operational center of the Brexbachtalbahn. 1884 this economically important link between the Rhine route and the Westerwald was opened after 12 years of construction. A spectacular feat of engineering with many tunnels, grandiose arch bridges and a huge area increase was accomplished. Now the heavy steam locomotives could roll at last. But the steel giants had in the meantime be filled with water from the reservoir of high. Here on border adjustment station is the only flat and centrally located part of the track. Changing track led on Hoehr-Grenzhausen, the center of the ceramic industry, according to Hillscheid. As early as 1886, the loading equipment and the tracks were increased because the freight had reached considerable proportions.
2010 Club The Brex has reactivated the route and led by special tours. The operating license ended in 2013, so that currently rests the operation.
