From the Sisters Ranger Station, travel generally NW on US20 for 9.4 miles. Turn left onto George McAllister Road, FR2060. Continue about 0.4 miles and bear right onto FR2061. Continue 2.4 miles to the junction with FR-600, a closed road. Park and hike S along a posted line to the corner, 860' distant.
Type of survey mark: 3-1/4" brass cap on iron pipe; rising 8"

What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?:
LAND SURVEY MONUMENT and PROPERTY BOUNDARY signs are mounted on a U-post which bears E, 37" distant, and an ATTENTION sign is mounted on a T-post which bears W, 14" distant. Found five ponderosa pines with the usual array of metal signs, front and backside.


What property is this mark defining?:
The section NE from the corner is Deschutes National Forest land; else private property. See also USDI-Bureau of Land Management, Field Notes of the Remonumentation of Certain Original Corner Points, Township 14 South, Range 9 East of the Willamette Meridian in the State of Oregon; Survey Completed August 12, 1966
