In the woods of Thetis Lake Park near an obscure bypass trail is a dead vehicle. No make or model identification was visible but it looked like a early 1970's Ford Pinto station wagon.

We were hiking along the Bellamy Trail in Thetis Lake Park to climb Scafe Hill and took this obscure loop to the edge of the park to avoid a flooded section on the usual trail. There we found this totally destroyed dead vehicle and took the time to determine what it was,when how and why it was here. The vehicle was a 1970's vintage compact station wagon with fairly square side windows. The engine was 4 cylinder with overhead cam driven by a fabric timing belt.
