Ken Used to talk of the parks as simply fine country. He use to ride his horse through lonely forrest and he sailed his boat on quiet waters and trekked across the barren deserts. From fallen pine limbs he built the fire to fry his catch of thought, and over a hundred such fires he takes softly of boots and boats, knives and knots, of right and wrong and of friendship. And by those, gentle flames he spoke of that special wild country songs he sang though the eternity of grueling road trips. But always returned to his family and the country he loved. then on that summer dawn in silent they just shot him. may the memory of his devotion to all people and to that fine country of our national parks and splendor of his soul inspire and remind with us. - Bill Hoy
