A gastro pub serving top French cuisine in the restaurant along with British pub favourites in the bar. It used to have its own microbrewery, Crafty Beers (

"After closing for a while, the pub was rescued a few years ago and transformed, with an extension added to the restaurant area to the left. Food is a key feature: lunches are tailored towards traditional pub food, whilst the evening menu reflects the owners' previous experience running an award-winning restaurant in the south of France. The right hand side is still very much a pub, serving up to three real ales. The pub had its own microbrewery - Crafty Beers - with a one-and a half barrel plant in the old stables at the rear. In 2016 the brewery moved to Stetchworth, but the pub continues to have two Crafty beers on, with occasional guest ales. Parts of the building itself date back to the 17th century, and there are records of it being an "ale house" from 1729. The bar billiards table is in regular use, and the pub has its own bar billiards team. Certificates for its award winning toilets are proudly displayed. Cambridge branch LocAle pub (rural) 2014 and 2016.
Ale house since the 18th century, grade 2 listed.
