This website (visit link)
informs us:

"Fort Lauderdale Walk of Fame

Background: Launched in 2010, this beachfront walkway features 14 diamond-shaped tiles highlighting some of Fort Lauderdale's biggest stars, as well as folks who helped make the city shine brighter. Look for it on State Road A1A, just north of Las Olas Boulevard, directly across from the popular beach hangout, Elbo Room.

Honorees: Entertainer Connie Francis (for the 50th anniversary of the all-time Spring Break movie, "Where the Boys Are"); tennis great Chris Evert and her father, Jimmy Evert (known as the "patriarch of tennis in Fort Lauderdale"); radio broadcaster Rick Shaw; and businessman H. Wayne Huizenga."

This one honors Hugh Taylor Birch.
The tile reads:

"City of Fort Lauderdale
Proudly Honors

HUGH TAYLOR BIRCH
FATHER OF FORT LAUDERDALE BEACH

GAVE US THE LAND FOR BIRCH STATE PARK AND
OUR WORLD FAMOUS PUBLIC BEACH TO BE
FOREVER ENJOYED BY MILLIONS

FORT LAUDERDALE BEACH
MAY 23, 2015"
Location: Ft. Lauderdale, FL
