"This monument records the love and reverence with which their memory is cherished."
The 6m tall, sandstone obelisk is also for Edwin's youngest child, Walter Hope, who "went to heaven 19th Sept., 1876, aged 7 months"; and for Edwin's wife, Matilda Sophia Hollinworth, "Born at Ashfield Park, Sydney, 20th June 1829. Fell asleep in Jesus at Brisbane, 11th August 1912, aged 83 years."
By the way that the memorial stone is placed for Edwin Hollinworth, I would assume that that is the date for the erection of this obelisk in the Stanthorpe Cemetery.
