1842 – Charles Pumpelly donated land for church to Rt. Rev. John Hughes, Bishop of New York
1844 – Rev. John Sheridan appointed first resident Pastor St. Patrick; he also served the mission church in Waverly 1848 – Pastor Rev. Sheridan purchased the land on which the present church is built for $545.50
1859 – Pastor Rev. Nicholas Byrne built first parochial school house at rear of church building
1863 – Pastor Rev. Francis Clark enlarged the church and added a new steeple and bell
1890 – Current church built and dedicated on Dec. 7; Certificate of Incorporation issued on Dec. 21"
