The well that Charles Ingalls dug outside his family's prairie cabin is marked by a sign. Little “House on the Prairie” author Laura Ingalls Wilder tells about her father digging this well, and it was one of the many landmarks that confirmed that this plot of land was indeed the site of the Ingalls’ 1870 cabin.
