Just 'up the road' from the Richmond Fire Station is a squatting white-painted concrete lion.

This lion is facing west, and holding a shield in it's left paw. It sits on a white brick pillar for a wrought-iron gate, in front of a white-brick, hacienda style house.
The 'brother' lion, that had been on the opposite gate pillar has been mostly broken off, with only a tail remaining.
