"In 1790 two Presbyterian missionaries Nathan Kerr and Joshua Hart were sent to Owego to establish Presbyterianism on the frontier of upstate New York... In 1849 a group split ... in 1912 we became the First Presbyterian Union Church."

"The congregation then discovered they had a beautiful rose window with a Star of David in the center. Rumors are that it had been refused by a Synagogue in Oswego and installed in Owego. The memorial stained glass windows on either side of the church and in the doors on either side of the organ were installed in 1892. "
