This memorial to all veterans of war is situated with other memorials near the entrance to the cemetery.

In Dedham, within Brookdale Cemetery, is this memorial to veterans service in all wars.
The cemetery is located off a residential neighborhood. From High Street, turn onto Brookdale Avenue, then turn right at the curve. From the entrance, turn left at the first road. The monument is a short distance on your left.
The monument is a stone structure roughly seven feet high. It is a vertical slab set on top of a stone base. The front design has an eagle and stars engraved in the top, symbols of the military branches on the sides and lower. In the center is the following text:
"To those who served our country in time of war
* * *
They gave their today for our tomorrow"
At the bottom is the following text:
"Dedicated by the Town of Dedham
The American Legion Post 18 and
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2017
1972"
The monument is in good condition.
