Chouteau North is located on the north side of town, at the end of N. McCracken Street.
Richard Beaty's headstone is the typical tree stump variety, standing on four horizontal logs. A calla lily is engraved at the base. The inscription is engraved on a scroll hanging by a stone rope. The inscription reads:

Beneath the scroll is a panel which reads: Afton Camp No. 285
