March 31, 1939: The rebuilt "Ritz" opens as the "Texas" theater. The new theater was gleaming white with a huge red and blue neon sign. The theater has the latest in lighting, projection, screen and air conditioning. The opening show was a 20th Century-Fox Technicolor epic Jesse James starring Tyronne Powers.

February 15, 1942: The Texas theater burner. Using the architectural plans from 1939, the theater is rebuilt.

Not sure when the theater closed by it was reopened in 2009, but sadly its neon sign is gone.
