Powered by the dam right behind the mill. It was first used as a machine shop, then as a box shop, dyeing mill, and manufactory of shoe laces and braid.
The mill stands much like it did back in the 19th century. There appears to be some substantial deterioration, but that gives it it's charm. Considering the town of Lincoln purchased Heartside right up the road, I am sure they will not let Moffett Mill go beyond the point of no return.
