DE: Der Bahnhof Neuwied ist neben dem Bahnhof Engers einer der Bahnhöfe und eine der Drehscheiben des öffentlichen Personennahverkehrs der rheinland-pfälzischen Stadt Neuwied und liegt in deren Westen. Der Bahnhof liegt an der rechten Rheinstrecke und ist Ausgangspunkt der Bahnstrecke Neuwied–Koblenz. Auf dem Bahnhofsvorplatz befindet sich ein Busbahnhof.
Der heutige Bahnhof Neuwied wurde im Jahr 1869, also zeitgleich mit der rechten Rheinstrecke, eröffnet. In den ersten Jahren, insbesondere nach der Eröffnung der Westerwaldbahn (1884), war jedoch der Bahnhof Engers bedeutender als der Neuwieder Bahnhof. Erst nach dem Bau der Kronprinz-Wilhelm-Brücke (Vorgängerbau der heutigen Urmitzer Eisenbahnbrücke) zwischen Engers und Urmitz und der Eröffnung der Bahnstrecke Neuwied–Koblenz 1918 gewann der Bahnhof an Bedeutung, insbesondere nach der Einstellung des Betriebes auf der Westerwaldbahn.

EN: Neuwied station is, along with Engers station, a hub of public transport in the town of Neuwied in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate and it is located in its west. The station is located on the East Rhine Railway (German: Rechte Rheinstrecke) and is the starting point of the Neuwied–Koblenz railway. In the station forecourt there is a bus station. The station is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station.
The station was opened in 1869, along with the East Rhine Railway. In the early years, especially after the opening of the Westerwald Railway in1884, Engers station was more important than Neuwied station. It was only after the construction of the Crown Prince Wilhelm bridge (the predecessor of today's Urmitz railway bridge) between Engers and Urmitz and the opening of the Neuwied–Koblenz railway in 1918 that the station became increasingly important, especially after the cessation of operations on the Westerwald Railway in the early 1990s.
