The ET Fresh Jerky rest stop and general store is located at the intersection on US 93 and NV 316, not far from the start of NV 375, the infamous Extraterrestrial Highway. The road passes to the south of the the US Government's secretive Area 51. This has led to countless theories of alien hi-jinks in the the NV desert, and fed a large local subculture and economy.
ET Fresh Jerky is one of those establishments, with all sorts of (alien) jerky, nuts, souvenirs and stories.
The mural, painted by artist Dwain T of Las Vegas, depicts a presumably alien "old west" style scene. There are alien cowboys, a radar tracking site, a stagecoach, and at least two moons!
The alien characters are roughly 6 feet in height, and are at ground level, affording for some really neat photo ops!
