Lottie was born into the Higgs family on 22 April 1901. (Three of the 5 centenarians I found at this graveyard were either born as Higgs or married Higgs.) She married Jim Whittington, and they owned and operated the Whittington candy company for many years. Jim passed away when Lottie was 88, in 1989, and Lottie continued on until 23 April 2005, dying
one day after she had turned 104 years old.
