This concrete marker for the grave of little Veva Brooks is one of 3 graves in a row for 4 children. There is some confusion on Veva's birthdate, since the marker clearly reads March 16, 1921, but the FindAGrave contributor found a birth certificate that says September 6, 1919. In either case, she died on 16 May 1929 by burning to death when playing with matches, when she was either 8 or 9 years old. Not at all nice to think about.
