V r. 1815 koupil cestické panství c.k. komorí a major rakouské armády Karel hrabe Rey, který do Cech utekl pred francouzskou revolucí a pred zmatky napoleonských válek.
Narodil se r. 1775 na francouzské Riviére v Monaku, po revoluci emigroval do Rakouska a do r. 1815 dosáhl hodnosti majora v rakouské armáde. V Cechách se usadil v r. 1804, kdy koupil zámek Mitrovice u Sedlce, a po nekolika dalších pokusech zakotvil v Pošumaví. Od r. 1807 sídlil v Lcovicích u Vimperka i se svou manželkou Doroteou, rovnež francouzskou šlechticnou z rodu Berteuil.
