The small town Radomyšl is situated 8 km north of the town Strakonice.
It used to be a profusely inhabited place on the crossing of the trade routes in the 12th century. The old Slavonic burial ground, which was explored in the 1960's here, supports this fact.
The sundial are located on wall of house No. 62. This house is nice example of local folk architecture called South-Bohemian peasant Baroque. This style of rural building has richly decorated fronts. They were inspired by architectural features which they saw in noble manors or Renaissance, Baroque or Empire burgher houses.
