DE: 11.09.2015 BAD BREISIG. Seit April 2013 gibt es in Bad Breisig den öffentlichen Bücherschrank, der eine kulturelle Bereicherung für alle, die dort gerne lesen, darstellt. Mitmenschen auf einfache Art und Weise zum Lesen anregen: Das ist die Idee, die hinter der Installation von öffentlichen Bücherschränken steckt.
Jedoch ist der Schrank im Kurpark im Frühjahr von Unbekannten verwüstet worden. An einem neuen Standort wurde jetzt der wieder instandgesetzte Bücherschrank offiziell von Beatrix Ziegler von RWE Deutschland an Stadtbürgermeisterin Gabriele Hermann-Lersch übergeben.
Die Bürger können durch die Initiative des Energieversorgers RWE nun wieder den Bücherschrank in der Quellenstadt nutzen. Er hat jetzt seinen neuen Standort vor der Tourist-Information in der Koblenzer Straße 39 an den erneuerten Wegen im Kurpark in Höhe der Minigolf-Anlage. Die Patenschaft für den Bücherschrank übernehmen Carla Gödel, Eva-Maria Lange und Friedhelm Link. Sie kümmern sich um die Pflege des Schrankes und sehen nach dem Rechten. Der Bücherschrank ist 2,20 Meter hoch und 60 Zentimeter breit. Damit bietet er Platz für rund 250 Bücher. In die Regalfächer können die Bürger ab sofort wieder Bücher hineinstellen, die sie selbst nicht mehr benötigen, aber jemand anderem zur Verfügung stellen wollen. Und umgekehrt funktioniert der Büchertausch auch: Wer ein interessantes Werk für sich darin entdeckt, darf es mitnehmen. (ga)
