"Grassmere School No. 35
Originally built in 1877 on S 1/2 20-13-1E. Grassmere School was re-built on this site, SE 1/4 29-13-1E in 1890. The School was moved onto a basement here in 1935. This cairn is erected in memory of the pioneers who had the foresight to promote learning in this area.
