The old Palo Alto Post Office is still in use today. It is on Hamilton Avenue at the intersection of Waverly Street.

The San Francisco Guide says of the Post Office:
Examples of an intelligent adaption of the Spanish Colonial style to modern usage are the POST OFFICE, Waverly Street at. and Hamilton Ave.
This building is now a National Registered Historic Place.
