The Museum, recalls the memories of the players who made a name for themselves, professionally, semi-pro, or armature levels. Teams, sponsors, and individuals, who pioneered sports in the county, are also included, along with umpires, and referees.

The display includes Baseball Hall of Fame ,(Cooperstown members) Eddie Collins and Dan Brouthers, celebrates, such as Chuck Connors and Whitey Ford, who played on teams in Dutchess County, Wes Westrum and Ricky Horton lived in Dutchess County. Melio Bettina, who won the worlds light heavy weight boxing title in 1939 lived in Beacon, N.Y.
There are displays on tennis, golf,bowling soccer, figure skating, speed skating, among others..
Once our long term goal is reached we will have a museum that is opened to the public, where the sports story of Dutchess County are displayed.
There shall be included a library, meeting rooms, and display of artifacts.
Theme: Museum tells the history of different sports and athletes in Dutchess County. The site also includes the Dutchess Sports Hall of Fame. the newly renovated Museum opened in July of 2016.
