Sedlec byl po staletí predevším zemedelskou vsí. Samozrejme zde nechybí kostel a barokní sochy svetcu. Uprostred návsi stál puvodne gotický kostel sv. Oldricha, který upomíná vež z 15. století a krtitelnice s vrocením 1585. Na pocátku tricetileté války kostel vyplenili uherští vzbourenci. Chrám byl poté barokne prestaven a v roce 1672 nove zasvecen svatému Vítovi.
Vzácnou památkou je varhanní skrín se zlacenou barokní rezbou z konce 18. století. Z té doby pochází také dochovaná malírská socharská výzdoba kostela. Historickou památkou je také farní budova z roku 1794 a hrbitov z roku 1786.
Dve sochy sv. Jana Nepomuckého mely puvodne zrejme ochranovat obec z východní i západní strany. Sochu stojící u cesty ze Sedlece k Portskému mlýnu nechal v roce 1717 postavit starosta Martin Goldtberg a protokolem zavázal všechny své následovníky na radnici povinností o sochu pecovat a v prípade jejího poškození ji nove postavit. Ze stejné doby pochází také druhá socha, která dnes stojí pred kostelem. Její puvodní místo ale bylo na východním okraji obce pri ceste na Hlohovec, u domu c. p. 139.

Sedlec for centuries was primarily an agricultural village. Of course the missing church and the baroque statues of saints. Middle of the village was originally a Gothic church. Ulrich, who reminds tower of the 15th-century baptismal font with vrocením 1585. At the beginning of the Thirty Years War the church ransacked Hungarian rebels. A rare sight is the organ cabinet with gilded baroque carving from the 18th century. From that time comes the painting sculptural decoration of the church. The historical monument is also a parish building from 1794 and a cemetery from 1786.
Two statues of St. John of Nepomuk originally had apparently protect the village from the east and west sides. Statue standing in the path of the Sedlece Portskému mill left in 1717 to build and Mayor Martin Goldtberg protocol pledged all his followers at City Hall on duty statue of care and in case of damage to her newly build. From the same period comes the second statue that now stands in front of the church. Its original place but it was on the eastern edge of the village on the way to Hlohovec, at house no.. 139.
